Our 9 flavored nut butter creations, almond butter, and our natural creamy and chunky are packaged in 100% recyclable PET plastic that is CERTIFIED BPA FREE. We ask that you re-use your containers in any way you can or recycle them. They make great containers for storage or kids projects.  Plastic is just as recycleable as glass, so please do the right thing.

The plastic caps on all of our products are also 100% recycleable. When we package each jar, there is a three tab foil liner that is heat sealed onto the jar to preserve the ultimate freshness and safety. If you currently use any products without a foil liner or plastic shrink band around the lid....do so at your own risk. We want to be 100% sure our products are tamper proof and right out of the jar fresh!

The Vermont Peanut Butter Company is continuously striving to be a "Green", so we buy alternative energy to power over 30% of the machines we use. 

We do not keep office supply stores busy, because we use the backside of all used sheets of paper for phone messages etc.  We also use pencils!!  They last so long for pennies.

We purchase all of our recycled cardboard boxes right here in Vermont.  Less trucking, less fuel used, better for the earth.  We also pack all of our orders in newspaper donated from our local media publication.  We just hop about 30 seconds around the corner from our facility, and load up.  

Our industrial / commercial grade containers we use for cafe's, bakeries, bagel shops and eateries are traded back in for credit on their next order.  We high temperature sanitize and clean fastidiously to above FDA, and State standards.

Our new building has the most up to date, and efficient commercial heating available.  Our brand new lighting is also the most efficient commercial lighting available!

Neither glass or safe plastic is better than the other.  It is up to YOU, the consumer to RECYCLE!
